Du Bois Center provided answers, camaraderie, and lived wisdom from people who’ve already repatriated and, in many cases, gained citizenship.Healthcare clarity: A doctor meet-and-greet at a major hospital offered peace of mind about where to go and who to call if health needs arise. We serve every age and stage. Before Iran was America's enemy, it was America's biggest weapons customer. The US sold the Shah billions in advanced fighter jets, destroyers, missiles, and surveillance aircraft — including the F-14 Tomcat, the most powerful interceptor ever built, a jet so exclusive that only the US Navy was allowed to fly it. American technicians flooded into Iranian cities by the thousands. CIA officers trained Iran's secret police. And Nixon personally signed a blank check allowing the Shah to buy any weapon he wanted, no questions asked.
Then, in 1979, a revolution swept the Shah from power — and every last piece of that American military hardware fell into the hands of a government that considered the United States to be the Great Satan.
This is the story of how America armed Iran, how those weapons were turned against American interests, and how the consequences of that decision are still shaping the Middle East today. From the 1953 CIA coup that started it all, to the hostage crisis that ended the alliance, to the nuclear program that America itself helped create — this is a chapter of history that explains more about the current US-Iran standoff than anything you'll hear on the news.

The Era of Western Domination is OVER. For decades, the West assumed China would eventually become "just like us." But while Washington waited for reform, Beijing built the future. In this reaction to Trevor Noah’s interview with Ian Bremmer, we break down why the American underestimation of China is the defining geopolitical blunder of our century. From high-speed rail and EV dominance to the massive infrastructure expansion across the Global South via the Belt and Road Initiative, the data tells a story the Western media often ignores. We explore:How China bypassed the "Middle-Income Trap" and leapfrogged Western tech. The "Democratic Delusion" that blinded Western foreign policy. Why the Global South is choosing Chinese concrete over Western lectures. The rise of "Sovereign Tech" and the contrast in AI governance. The question is no longer whether China will collapse—it's whether the West can handle a world where it’s no longer the only superpower in the room. What do you think? Is the gap between the US and China already too wide to close? #icymi From iPhone 17 replicas to car model “upgrades,” Nigeria's infamous "I-better-pass-my-neighbour" cultural meme has graduated from simple nuisance to driver of real economic jeopardy.
Fuelled by a debilitating societal inferiority complex and high levels of extreme poverty, a new trend of disturbingly obsessive brand awareness has created a booming "insecurity economy," characterised by after-market smartphone design modification, "car model upgrade" body kit installation, Indian temple hair importation, and many other dodgy activities built exclusively around exploiting the insecurities of 230 million poor people.
Already a struggling, sub-industrialised economy with IMF-imposed economic austerity, Nigeria has now become an economic opportunity for unscrupulous suppliers in industrialised countries, as Nigerians haemorrhage their money on a desperate quest to signal imaginary status to one another.
It’s time for a cultural shift. Scientific education, economic empowerment and spiritual awakening must displace obsessive, spiritually bankrupt, low-level consumerism. If this will be Africa's century, the continent needs its most populous country to break free from this psychological trap.

What if the greatest obstacle to healing isn't the pain itself—but the way we've been taught to think about healing?
In this thought-provoking conversation, we explore why healing was never meant to depend on a single solution. From stillness and breathwork to music, community, and other holistic practices, our guest explains why true healing happens when we move beyond a "one-size-fits-all" mindset and embrace a more interconnected approach.
Whether you're interested in mental health, spirituality, personal growth, or community wellness, this discussion challenges conventional ideas and offers a fresh perspective on what it really means to heal.
What You'll Learn:
Why searching for one "magic cure" can limit healing
The importance of community in the healing process
How repetitive thought patterns can keep us feeling stuck
Why holistic healing requires multiple tools working together
A new perspective on healing, growth, and transformation
