A revolutionary first look at the life of Omoyele Sowore.

Omoyele Sowore is an activist, founder of Sahara Reporters (‘Africa’s Wikileaks’) and a former presidential candidate under Nigeria’s 🇳🇬African Action Congress Party. He was illegally arrested by Nigeria’s DSS in August 2019, released that same December and has been restricted to the capital ever since.

In this first part, Onuora Abuah visits him in Abuja where he resides on restricted bail. Onuora also meets and discusses with other activists who have sacrificed their careers and freedom to be part of the #RevolutionNow Movement.

Stealing a Nation is a 2004 Granada Television documentary about the British–American clandestine operation that saw the expulsion of the native Chagossian population of Diego Garcia and neighbouring islands. More than 2,000 people were exiled to Mauritius between 1967 and 1973, so that Diego Garcia could become a United States airbase (see depopulation of Chagossians from the Chagos Archipelago). The film contains a series of interviews with native Chagossians, who have been deprived of their right of return and forced to live in abject poverty. Stealing a Nation was written and directed by John Pilger, and produced and directed by Christopher Martin; reconstruction footage was directed by Sean Crotty.

This video breaks down the major flaws in the Niger Congo area of diffusion(sprachbund) it is not a proven language family and many linguists such as Dixon affirm that it is impossible to reconstruct Proto Niger Congo.

With this said, there is no such thing as Bantoids or Congoids. One cannot use a hypothetical linguistic category and super impose them on historical populations.

The pluridisciplinary approach that is mainstream in contemporary Afrikana studies is the best method when it comes to reconstructing population histories.

But now, the bridge is to be torn down.The bridge provides a vital link between the slum district of Kangemi and more prosperous parts of the city. ARD's Nairobi bureau chief, Sabine Bohland, first reported in 2015 on the thriving commerce that takes place on the bridge. She interviewed three people: Mogaka, who makes and sells soup; Jacky, who sells vegetables; and Saidi, a student. All three talked about their dreams for the future. Five years later, Bohland returned to the bridge to find out how these people are coping with the coronavirus pandemic, and whether they've made their dreams come true.
